This research was conducted for 20 days and used a Randomized Block Design (RBD), with observation and sampling time on days: 0, 5, 10, 15, and 20, treatment K as control (without aquatic plants), giant salvinia (KI)) and water lettuce (KA). The results showed that the phytoremediation process using aquatic plants, water lettuce, and giant salvinia, had a significant effect on improving the quality of wastewater from catfish aquaculture waste. Water lettuce was able to reduce ammonia levels by 97.81% and organic matter by 33.19%, while giant salvinia was able to reduce ammonia levels by 97.23% and organic matter by 20.00%. This shows that in improving the quality of catfish aquaculture waste, water lettuce (Pistia stratiotes) is more effective than giant salvinia.
Linda Wulandari, Ibi Fatimah, Tutwuri Handayani, Yulintine, Maryani Copyright (c) 2023 Jurnal Akuakultur SEBATIN https://jas.ejournal.unri.ac.id/index.php/path/article/view/99 Fri, 10 Nov 2023 00:00:00 +0000 Combination Of Tofu And Fermented Taro Leaf Midrib On Growth Maggot Black Soldier Fly (Hermetia illucens) https://jas.ejournal.unri.ac.id/index.php/path/article/view/101
This study aims to determine the effect of different combinations of tofu and fermented taro leaf midrib on the growth of Maggot Black Soldier Fly. The research method used is the experimental method using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) which consists of 4 levels of treatment, namely A (100% tofu); B (75% tofu+ 25% fermented taro leaf midrib); C (50% tofu + 50% fermented taro leaf midrib); D (25% tofu + 75% fermented taro leaf midrib). Parameters observed were BSF maggot length and weight growth, digested feed conversion efficiency (ECD), waste reduction index (WRI), BSF maggot productivity. Analysis of the data used was Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) and to determine the best treatment using a follow-up test in the form of Duncan's test with a significance level of 5%. The best combination of tofu and fermented taro leaf midrib on the growth of Maggot BSF was the use of 75% tofu + 25% fermented taro leaf midrib which has a significant effect when compared to other treatments.
Juwita Hutasoit, Ivone Christiana, Shinta Sylvia Monalisa, Rosita, Yulintine, Maryani Copyright (c) 2023 Jurnal Akuakultur SEBATIN https://jas.ejournal.unri.ac.id/index.php/path/article/view/101 Mon, 13 Nov 2023 01:35:36 +0000 Rearing Hoven’s Carp (Leptobarbus hoevenii) by Feeding Fermented With Herbal Supplements in a Recirculation System https://jas.ejournal.unri.ac.id/index.php/path/article/view/102
Study aims to determine the best dose in rearing hoven’s carp (Leptobarbus hoevenii) by feeding fermented feed with herbal supplements in a recirculation system. This research was conducted from 16 January - 24 February 2022 at the UPT Experimental Pond of the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Scnie, University of Riau. The container used was a black tub with a volume of 100 L as many as 15 units with a stocking density of 20 individuals / 80 L. This study used a one-factor completely randomized design (CRD) method with five levels of treatment and three replications. Test feed is given as much as 10% of the biomass weight with the frequency of feeding 3 times a day, feeding is carried out for 56 days. To measure the digestibility of fish feed is given feed containing Cr2O3 as much as 0.5% of the amount of feed. Test fish measuring 1.24 ± 0.02 g are put into the aquarium with a stocking solid of 10 heads / cm3. After feeding, fish feces are collected and dried to measure their Cr2O3 and protein levels. The results showed sente leaf flour fermented using kombucha was able to replace soy flour by 20% in fish feed and gave the best results, namely feed digestibility 66.22%, protein digestibility 81.08%, feed efficiency 43.84%, protein retention 24.81%, specific growth rate 3.36% and 96.67% survival.
Panuturi Julianto Siboro, Adelina, Indra Suharman Copyright (c) 2023 Jurnal Akuakultur SEBATIN https://jas.ejournal.unri.ac.id/index.php/path/article/view/108 Sun, 19 Nov 2023 14:42:09 +0000 The Effect of Fermentor Dosage on Tofu Dregs as Tubifex sp. Culture Media on Population and Biomass https://jas.ejournal.unri.ac.id/index.php/path/article/view/109
Natural feed is an initial feed that has a complete nutritional content and is closer to the biological needs of fish larvae, one of which is Tubifex sp. Tubifex sp is a type of natural feed that is very important in freshwater aquaculture activities, especially for catfish hatcheries. Tubifex sp. has a fairly high nutritional content, 57% protein, 13.3% fat, 2.04% crude fiber, 3.6% ash content and 87.7% water. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of fermentor dosing on tofu dregs as a Tubifex sp. culture medium on population and biomass growth rates. This research was conducted in August - October 2023 located in the laboratory of the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine, Riau University. The research method used was an experimental method using a completely randomized design (CRD), consisting of 4 treatments and 3 replications. The fermentor dose used was in the treatment P0 (0.0 ml), P1 (0.5 ml), P2 (1.0 ml), P3 (1.5 ml). The results of this study indicated that the dose of fermentor on tofu dregs as a culture medium for Tubifex sp. had a significant effect (P<0.05) on population and biomass. The highest population and biomass were found in treatment P2, with a population of 13519 ind and a biomass of 49.52 grams which were reared for 56 days. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that giving fermenter doses to tofu dregs as a Tubifex sp. culture medium can increase population and biomass.
Vernanda Febiola Djatmiko, Sukendi, Netty Aryani Copyright (c) 2023 Jurnal Akuakultur SEBATIN https://jas.ejournal.unri.ac.id/index.php/path/article/view/109 Sun, 19 Nov 2023 14:51:37 +0000
